Capacity Development Program in the Area of Procurement

  • Training Program on Government e-Marketplace (GeM)

    AIMA conducts training program on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) as on open program for Government Ministries/ Departments, Central & State Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs & SPSUs), Autonomous institutions and Local bodies. The program has received overwhelming response in terms of training of multiple batches of 70 participants each. AIMA also organized a customized one-day programme on GeM for NSPCL (NTPC- SAIL Power Company Limited) at Bhilai. The objective of the program was to sensitize participants about understanding Government e-Marketplace, and to facilitate users in the use of GeM to achieve the best value for money. The program was well attended by DGMs, AGMs, Dy. Managers and Sr. Managers of NSPCL-Bhilai, NSPCL-Durgapur, and NSPCL-Rourkela.
  • Training Program on GeM and GFR 2017

    AIMA conducts training program on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and General Financial Rules (GFR) 2017. The program is meant to sensitize participants about understanding of the Government e-Marketplace and General Financial Rules 2017.The aim is to enable understanding of an improved, efficient and effective framework of fiscal management along with necessary flexibility to facilitate timely delivery of goods, works and services. Participants from a wide variety of companies such as BEL, CONCOR, HPCL, Chennai Metro Rail Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India etc. have attended this program.
  • Professional Diploma in Public Procurement (PDPP)

    AIMA is successfully running six months Professional Diploma in Public Procurement (PDPP). This program is powered by The World Bank. The overall aim of the program is to impart required knowledge and skills to undertake effective procurement using best in class practices. This is expected to result in Capacity Building and professionalization of Public Procurement in South Asian countries. The objective of the Professional Diploma in Public Procurement is to deliver comprehensive knowledge that covers theoretical aspects, modern methods & trends and also good practices in Public Procurement.   • Workshop on Public Procurement

    AIMA conducts twice in a year, five-day workshop on Public Procurement with the aim of imparting knowledge and training the executives / officers in the area of public procurement. The objective of the program is to apprise the participants with the procedures and regulation governing public procurement. This workshop is conducted as part of one of the component of the Professional Diploma in Public Procurement. These workshops are conducted PAN India including but not limited to Delhi, Patna, Ranchi.
  • Training Program on e-Procurement

    AIMA with technical support of World Bank initiated this program as a movement to train large number of procurement professionals and others who participate in or manage procurement function, to facilitate better understanding and use of e-Procurement process for public procurement of goods, works and services.

    The program focuses on both the theoretical aspects of e-Procurement and hands-on experience for adequate development of practical skills. It also gives an opportunity to participants to explore e-Procurement models appropriate for their businesses.

  • Transforming Procurement Together

    Realizing the importance of e-Procurement, which is transforming the way public procurement is conducted, AIMA organized a two-day training program on “Transforming Procurement Together” in Mumbai. Governments and businesses are transitioning to e-Procurement faster than ever before. Procurement professionals are driving competitive advantage for their organizations through smart use of e-Procurement modules such as e-tendering, online auctions and vendor management software solutions. The objective of the program was to acquaint the professionals/ officers with the specific facilities and features available, and rules and regulations that apply to e-Procurement.
  • Global Procurement Summit 2016 (GPS 2016)

    Global Procurement Summit (GPS) 2016, organized by All India Management association (AIMA) in partnership with Government of India and the Governance Global Practice of the World Bank, exhorted policy makers and practitioners for attaining  sustainable economic competitiveness in public procurement, through use of real time Procurement Big data; launching technology driven transformational capacity building programs and innovations that would facilitate better and longer engagement with private sector without compromising spirit of competition. 

    The Summit held at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi India from 21-22 April 2016, also highlighted the need for the Governments to analyse beforehand the impact and cost benefits of introducing and implementing preferential procurement policies. The Summit attracted more than 230 senior procurement policy makers and practitioners from over 14 countries. World Bank also launched the Hindi language version of its flagship Certificate Program in Public Procurement (CPPP), offered as Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) through its dedicated learning and networking portal...     After the remarkable achievement of first Global Procurement Summit 2016, Global Procurement Summit 2017 (GPS 2017) with support of the World Bank, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), and Ministry of Communications & Information Technology was announced on 27th and 28th February 2017 at New Delhi.   • Global Procurement Summit 2018 (GPS 2018)

    All India Management Association, in partnership with Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and the World Bank organized the Global Procurement Summit 2018, on February 8-9, 2018 at New Delhi. 

    The theme of the summit was New Frontiers: Driving Transformation & Growth. The Summit facilitated in providing a forum to share the learning and the success stories from different regions, to support the countries which are at early stages of reform and might be facing teething problem.
